Hi,
Just thought I'd share my experience. One morning I came home about 3:00 am and went to the bathroom to relieve myself and when I tried to sit on the bowl, I swear it moved, it leaned to the right then set back up and It was very painfull. It moved to the right and I fell off the left side. When I did the seat broke loose and stuck to me. As I fell I hit my head on the wall, (it's tile) so there was no real damage done but I hit so hard it shook things from the shelves on the wall behind me. There were Razor Blades, toothbrushes, towels, candles you name it. I was stuck between the bowl and the wall with this junk all over me and had to call my wife to help pull me out. When she did this it made our dog jealous so he jumped right on my chest as I lay there and started barking in my face and showing his teeth. Finally, she got me up, I got the seat off me, and as i was picking up everything else I fell backwards into the tub and pulled down the shower curtains, but I don't think that was directly related to the Painfull Bowl Movement. I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else, but I can tell You from My experience a Painfull Bowl Movement is no small mater.
I noticed You work in psychology and are interested in emotional health so I feel certain You can understand the fear and anxiety I deal with day by day when I need to go. It's been several years now but the memories are still clear to me and I often return to that scene in my dreams. We have taken down the curtains, I moved the shelves to the other wall and the dog is no longer with us, but I can't help but wonder if the wife and I will ever get over all the pain, and sometimes depression, that bowl movement dumped in our lives.
Best to you,
Griz
ps This is a hep c forum I don't know if anyone here has had much experience with this sort of thing, I hope this helps.
Thanks for the info Copy. I sure didn't know that.
Yes Susie, not talked about that often but hemorrhoids do happen when treating. Something with the platelets dropping and the sensitive blood vessels in the anus (hope not to much detail)
And even more cases of hemorrhoids with the new drug Telaprevir. A side effect of Telaprevir rarely discussed.
OH YES'M !!!! Add pre h oilment to your shopping list The bilal form yor tummy can pass through and flair are help cause hemmorhoids If it gets to where you are putting motor oil on Go to your GI doc
See a doctor. It's most likely a treatment side effect (not being properly hydrated, dietary change) but painful movements over a period of time are not something to be ignored. A simple diagnostic test can rule out issues.
I seem to remember the 2nd week I was on treatment (I'm now on week 27) I had some problems with BM being "hard". It quickly cleared up and my digestion and elimination, oddly enough, are working better on treatment than they have in years.

This may be overly simplistic ... however wondering if you are drinking enough water. Two weeks seems way too soon to be dehydrated but asking just the same. Hope someone told you to drink plenty of water as the ribavirin is known to be dehydrating.
Treatment causes hemmorhoids?? It does?
try ducolax. it helps to loosen up things down-under....oops, sorry for the pun...
i use it and it works for me.
treatment can cause hemorrhoids, maybe it is that.
