Pregnancy 6 weeks after treatment

Hello all. I completed hep c treatment 6 weeks ago, its cleared for which I am deeply grateful. I am looking for any information regarding the advised waiting period for pregnancy after treatment and the possible side effects to the fetus, I discovered yesterday that I am pregnant. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thee is a ribavirin registry that may be helpful. I have no experience with it so I can't be sure. But here is the link:

Ribavirin Pregnancy warning:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a605018.html#precautions

For female patients:

Do not take ribavirin if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. You should not start taking ribavirin until a pregnancy test has shown that you are not pregnant. You must use two forms of birth control and be tested for pregnancy every month during your treatment and for 6 months afterward. Call your doctor immediately if you become pregnant during this time.

Good Luck

If you took ribavirin, the wait period is 6 months post treatment. If that is the case, please contact your doctor for advice.
