Promacta helping/ log drop question

My platelets our still in the 60's this week even with missing 2 doses last week (due to insurance problems). Is it week 8 or 12 that you for to have a 2 log drop?  Does that mean dropping the last 2 numbers off of your beginning viral load?  Example 2,500,000 needs to drop to 25,000.  Thanks  I'm sure there is others of us newbie that do not understand that part.

Yes; a minimum 2 log^10 drop is required by the 12 week juncture to continue standard treatment.

To figure the reduction, you can remove the last two zeroes from the numerically expressed viral load as you mention. Additionally, the term log is actually short for logarithm. If you enter the viral load in a mathematical calculator, you can use the ‘LOG’ function to translate numerical value to log value.

For instance, a log value of 2,500,000 is 6.397.
