Really good shape w/labs... :)

I had the yearly physical labs/checkout with internal medicine doctor.  I had been pretty much, not been real careful with my diet.., basically eating too much high glyco index foods, high cholesterol, etc., due to being busy and not having the time to fix healthy stuff.  Anyhow, I had these fasting labs.  I went in there fully expecting that they'd be really lousy because of this bad diet thing.  Much to my happy surprise, my labs were very good.  My glucose was completely normal and so was my A1C.  My Dr. even said that my glucose had improved on the past 3 that he'd checked and he showed me the graph.  He said since he's been monitoring my glucose/A1C over the past 3 yrs that since the A1C had never been abnormal that he thought that we could lay off of running that every year, which is fine with me!  My weight, which I thought had gone up, was actually lower by about 3lbs, another shocker.  My cholesterol had actually improved from last year and he said my good cholesterol was better and my bad cholesterol was also better and that on the graph it was actually lower for my total cholesterol.  The only things that I've been doing good that I feel that could account for some of this is that the exercise has remained an important part of my lifestyle and I take 1 fish oil capsule a day and 2 cinnamon caps a day, 1 cinn in the am and 1 cinn in the pm.  I also put the cinnamon in my coffee in the drip basket.   My liver enzymes had pretty much been stabilized at around the 50-70 range for about a year now.  All of this makes me a happy camper of course and I feel like I'm in a good place to be able to do my next treatment if the Boceph will ever get FDA approved!  Until then, I guess I just keep on doing what I'm doing since it's working for me.  Take care ya'll.  Susan400

Great news for you Susan.  That is a great idea of putting the cinnamon in the basket when you brew coffee.  I used to put it in my tea until I drank down a blob of slimy honey and cinn.

Funny thing is that I forced myself to go out and be active today, then stopped at a local Italian bakery and treated myself to a cappuccino with cinnamon and sugar.  I was thinking that I should avoid the sugar, but needed that reward.  Maybe I'll go for some bloodwork in the morning ;)
