Recent Hep C Reactive after treatment

I was treated 10 years ago with interferon and was told atleast 5 years ago after years of testing that I was cured. I recently applied for life insurance and was denied due to being Hep C reactive. Does this mean it is back?

I was also told that by the doctor.  Just like for example if you test positive for TB you always have to have the Chest X-ray done instead of the injections each time.

You will always test positive for the antibodies.  The only way to tell for sure if it's back is to get a quantative PCR test done to check for any active virus.
