If you have advanced liver disease / cirrhosis you should look for a hepatologist associated with a liver transplant center.
Have you asked your regular doctor if they have any recommendations?
Unless you have a reason, like endstage liver disease, or other serious chronic illnesses, you really do not need a hepatologist to treat you. Treatments are so much easier now and have a short duration, you can feel confident with a gastroenterologist or an infectious disease doctor. Here is a link to gastros in Nevada:
Hi there, here is a list of doctors, pretty sure there is one close to you :)http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Hepatitis-C/Who-is-your-good-doctor-/show/1715783#post_11505524
Also DWBH said to try hecpc . com and search by zip code
The doctor that treated me for 13 years and told me exactly the time I should be put on the transplant list is:
702-483-5515, when you hear the message, press 4 and ask for Arlina.
He's located at 3150 N. Tenaya Way # 580 Las Vegas, NV 89128.
He's the only doctor that actually called me at home to see how I was doing...
Thank you very much everyone for taking the time to respond to my request .I do appreciate
Dilly, good luck to you!
I don't know how far you are from Mayo in Arizona, but it would be worth getting a referral. They are according to US News and World Reports the best GI/Hepatologist transplant hospital in Arizona. I would definitely check into that.
