Riba test

Dear sir,

I had alot of test don in the past 6 months for alot of reasons .
on jun 2011 i did HIV,HBV and HCV for work application and all came back negative
on july 2011 I also did same test for same reson and all came back negative .
in early aug 2011 I donated platlets as requested by hospital and they did all test inculding the NAT test and every thing was normal .
in sept 15, 2011 i was called for urgent need for platlets doners so i went and donated .
in nov, 7th , 2011 they call me also for donation , i went to them but they find in my file a note says that i will need to retest after 6 months from my sept 15 donation as they found the HCV Riba was indetrmind .
it was a shock for me . they took another sample for other RIBA test for me which came back same ( this mean 2 months from my 1st RIBA test ) .
today i did Anti HCV and it came back negative ..

I am not sure what to do ....

do i have HCV or not ?
thanks

Since you repeated the RIBA test with the same indeterminate results, it sounds like the next step is to do a RT-PCR HCV RNA test.  This test will tell you if there is HCV present and the current viral load.

Further reading:
An indeterminate RIBA result indicates that the anti-HCV result cannot be determined (Box). Indeterminate anti-HCV supplemental test results have been observed in recently infected persons who are in the process of seroconversion, and occasionally in persons chronically infected with HCV (22). Indeterminate results also might indicate a false-positive screening test result, which is the most common interpretation for these results among those at low risk for HCV infection (23,24). Another sample should be collected for repeat anti-HCV testing (>1 month later) or for HCV RNA testing.
