STAGES

SO HERE I AM ALMOST DONE WITH TX. AND I READ ABOUT DIFF. STAGES , SO LAST WEEK I ASKED MY GI DR. WHAT STAGE AM I HE TOLD ME I AM STAGE 0, SO I GUESS THAT IS A GOOD THING!!!! ASKED ME IF I AM A ORGAN DONOR I SAID YES, DO HE SAID MY LIVER IS GOOD TO DONATE BUT IT HAS TO GO TO HEP C WAITING LIST,IT CANT GO TO ANY OTHER. WHICH IS FINE WITH ME(HEY IM NOT GOING TO DIE ANYTIME SOON)Haha-----ROCKIN516

That is fascinating to hear that an undamaged hep c liver can be used for transplant to a hep C patient.  Didn't know that could be done.  Cool.

thats good,stage 0 is gr8,u should get svr if ya liver is in good nic.
i did not know we could donate any organs at all,thats good to know that i can donate them to people with hep c.
well done for gettin this far on tx,it has been very hard for me,i just took my last shot yesterday.fingers crossed it works for us both....and every1 with hep c too.
I have no idea what stage my liver is in,iv never had a biopsy,my doc said it wasnt necessary,plus he didnt think a 3 month viral load check was necessary too...plus lots of other things which i didnt know were important at the time.Iv worried all the way thru havin no idea if im UND at all,then i get on the forum and find out that early UND means u have more chance etc and i would have loved to have that option...just didnt know is was an option till it was to late.
