Searching for help.

This may be a little silly thing to do but it's probably the last step that can be done to help my sick uncle. He has Hepatits type C together with some other 'issues.' I'm from Poland and with my family we decided to also try searching for help outside Poland. I'm still kind of lost in looking for help abroad since my English is pretty bad when it comes to such medical terms. Anyway, the point is to find any doctors (names, e-mails, hospitals, really, just anything, preferably in Europe but other places will do as well!) who could at least have a look at the diagnosis and, possibly, consider the treatment. If anyone here knows about such person, please contact me. I'll be glad for ANY help, really.
Thank you in advance.

I am sorry to hear about your uncle.

But it should be possible to get treatment in Poland? I found a document from 2014 with treatment recommendations in Poland and it said: "All patients diagnosed with acute and chronic hepatitis should be subject to treatment, irrespective of fibrosis stage and existence of comorbidities".

If you treat abroad you would have to pay for treatment and the meds are very expensive.

Mayo Clinic in the U.S is a leader in the field of Liver Disease.  They are located in Rochester N.Y and Jacksonville Fla.
I wish I could help you with suggestions in Europe, but hopefully someone from there will post and give you some names and #s.  If not, I'm sure if you contact Mayo in the states they could give you info and help hopefully in Poland.
Good Luck

Don't give up. Keep searching for a doctor in Poland. You could come here to USA and he could get the medicine but at great cost to you. I don't have enough information of why he was refused treatment in Poland. You said; "all the doctors refused since the case is pretty bad"
I believe you because it happens. I was a "pretty bad case" too and instead of laying down and giving up, I demanded they give the medicine to me no matter what. But based on "how far gone" he is I don't have those facts. I might be able to hook you up to someone who can help but I don't have all the facts. Please tell us some details of what you mean by "the case is pretty bad". What is his Genotype? Does he have ascites? Portal hypertension? cirrhosis? stage 4 liver damage?

Well, I'm not that well-informed, I'm just a witness of the story and all I know is that all the doctors refused since the case is pretty bad. But my family is open for new solutions and any help is useful!
We know about the costs but, let's say, it's not important at this point. It's just searching for possibilities.
