Oh I love my grandbaby! My 18 yr. old is the yougest of 4 kids but I only have 1 grandchild. You have a great attitude and a great "drug" of choice.
Best of luck,
Bug
yeah, kids are great. And now I have three grand babies too. 3, 2, and 9 months. Two girls and a boy. When they were born it was like having kids all over again. They are God's blessings and so much fun to be with. It's especially nice to be with them and have fun with them, almost like a playmate instead of a parent.
I hope your son keeps up the interest in Music (as a musician). My musical journey began on guitar back in the early 60's with Rock and Roll, but matured into many genres of music since. My playing went from Guitar, 5 string banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bagpipe and tin whistle. I only have a guitar and fiddle readily available to play when I want. But that's enough. My bagpipes are permanently hung on the wall and I don't have the wind to play them any more. My true passion is the guitar, fingerstyle. And I like the more mellow stuff now days too. Music is my "Drug" so to speak and has absolutely no side effect, other than positive ones. It is the elixir of life and God is the author of my spirit. You may notice, Hepatitis does not get me down. Not that my head is buried in the sand but I'm just to upbeat and optimistic to let it get me. And I certainly appreciate all the good folks that I'm meeting here on MedHelp. thanks !

Great to have teenager in the house. He got me right there and listened to the music with me. I Loved it! Oh to play the fiddle! Didn't you say before that you play other instruments? My son is also a musician, a senior in high school, mainly plays guitar.
Thanks for everything

Right shoulder pain can also be pain referred from the gall bladder. Get a dr. to check you out.

I had a U/S in October which showed no visible mass (on liver) other than a simple fluid cyst on the right lobe of my liver, approximately where I feel the right side pain. However, Ladybug, this U/S also revealed gallstones. After finding this out it pretty much explained why for years I have had pain in the center (just slightly to the right) under my sternum after eating large greasy meals. I learned to avoid large greasy meals.
Having been diagnosed with HCV I am now living a much better lifestyle regarding nutrition and health. In many ways I count myself luck. I've been a heavy smoker for many years and have smoked for 45 years, Ouch! am I really that old? I do have indications of COPD seen from my last chest chest x-ray but nothing else of any significance. I also had two Colon polyps removed a couple months ago (they were precancerous). My Cholesterol is in the lower part of the normal range. How that ever happened I don't know because I've always been a fatty food lover with no fear. So I do have a lot of blessings to count and do every Sunday morning. Incidentally, now that you mentioned it about the Gallbladder, This pain I felt was about 20 minutes after having stuffed myself with food. I was uncomfortably full. That could be the answer. I do have a visit with my Hep Dr in a couple weeks and will ask him about it.
Thanks for your input, isn't this forum great. You almost don't need a doctor . . . Just kidding. But there is a world of great medical information to be had here.

I like your positive attitude. When we count our blessings in little things in life it makes us so much more thankful.
This is totally off the subject but I wanted to share this with someone. I live in a small town and last Mon. one of our sweet wonderful athletes was killed in a car accident. He was a senior and MVP of the district for 5a football. I had known him since he was 7 and I coached him on my son's soccer team. He was always happy, always looked on the bright side and loved his family and God. Two grown men were trying to outrace each other to get the center lane and BB was the casualty. We never know the hour or moment or why things happen do we? Sorry for my depressing story, I'm just consumed by it lately.

Check this out while I check out your fiddle playing! If I can get there.

Incidentally, I play fiddle on this track
And Also . . .
That shoulder pain I mentioned was actually in my shoulder blade. The flat part of my right shoulder blade. about 8-9 inches down from the top of the shoulder. I probably wouldn't have noticed it except it was a quick, stabbing pain, which occurred at the exact moment I had the quick, stabbing pain in my liver.
It may very well be what my doctor said, pain from the cyst I have on my lover which is on the roght lobe where I experienced the pain.

DoMusic
Well it is a sad story, and my condolences for you, his family and friends. We go through life, never knowing exactly when our plug will be pulled, but we can know that when that time come, we have prepared ourselves the very best that we can. One of the things about being a Christian is we can have confidence in Gods promises. Faith is relying on that promise, trusting in His providence. He takes care of those who believe He will. It is the very definition of "Faith". Like children trusting in their parents, we trust in God for every thing here, and for everything hereafter. Keep it up Ladybug, you're so warm hearted. fight the good fight and beat your Hep into the ground. And while we're at it let's help others who are dealing with the difficulties of this disease.
I hope you are dealing with you health issues well!
Warm regards,
DoMusic
There is a nerve that runs through your liver to your rt. shoulder. If you continue to have any pain see your hepatologist ASAP and see what he/she thinks. May want to gett a CT scan or an ultrasound to check for a tumor. I do not know if general liver scarring will cause the shoulder pain but I do know for sure that a tumor will do that. Sorry if I scare you but we are here to help each other with the information that we have. Early detection is so important. I hope you never have the pain again but rt. shoulder stuff is liver related - not even all general doctors are aware of that.
Should have mentioned, I haven't had a Bx. I have had pain in my right side which my Hematologist suggests is from a cyst I have on my liver. Tonight is the first time I had the simultaneous shoulder blade pain.
DoMusic
Yes I had that pain with my bx, i hope it didnt last long, and was just a one time thing, if it still continues i would tell your doc....
