Sleeping is a very good thing, especially while on treatment. If she can sleep and it is an okay sleep then by all means, let her sleep.
I slept lots and lots during the first half of my 56 weeks. The end half, I still slept but not as much as before. Sleeping was a way for me to really rest, turn my mind off of all of this, rejuvenate myself (body and mind) and then sometimes just zone out of the reality of my illness and that I felt well...not so good.
Ask her if her sleep is good or if she is just laying there trying to sleep and not really sleeping. If it is the last of these two, get her up to do something (anything that she can handle) drink some fresh juice, try and eat some good soup and good breads and fruits and talk with her. Make sure her sleep is not just a boring sleep, just laying around. If she is sleeping good, let her catch up on it.
Is she on a sleeping aid or anti-depressant to aid her with all the hepC drugs? Make sure that her dose of medicines (sleepers) aren't too much for her. Ask the doctors.

Sleeping, ah that is something that I can do a lot of lately. I just get thru the day and then go home and practice a little and then sleep. Sometines I just get thru the day right now, I have 9 more weeks 72 total it ain't easy but that is the way it is. Everyone please hang in you can do it. Everyone has sides, lifes problems don't just go away either but like my old man says what are you going to do just lay down. No, we are fighters that is why we all found this site so we could keep fighting.
Sorry I have not been around lately just trying to cope myself right now and trying to live and play a little also
GOD BLESS all my friends here

Hi Larry, so good to read your post and know you're looking out for Debra, she's a lucky lady:). Sadly, I have not experienced that particulary sx; sleeping for days and nights - I only wish:) As others here have suggested, keep an eye on Debra for depression and make sure she keeps up with her bloodwork. My husband is so good at asking if I've taken my pills which really helps me a lot! So, while debra is sleeping maybe you could keep an eye on the clock and wake her in time to take her meds?
I'm wishing you both well:).
Mr Billy just asked me tonight{are those people} sleeping alot?? I tell you I thought I was prepared!!
I slept loads on tx and , when i wasn't sleeping, napped and crashed out under the duvet watching TV. Best thing you can do, in my opinion!
hey friend, early good morning here to you...how are you today? i'm doing so/so...i'm having stomach probs, i think i have an ulcer and esophagus probs....kitties seem well enough though...still sneezing...but, nothing traumatic has happened to them yet...i pray it stays this way... they are a little thin...
dr. said simba was the main one he was worried about cause of his other disease...the tx for it (prednisone), lowers immune system opening him up for the serious complications of the respratory disease...the vet may set him up with kitty cat interferon...it's a weaker version of the same thing we take...and it's oral...
as to your last post; i had the same thing happen to me at my last house...the nieghbor had a huge maple tree that made looking out the window so enjoyable but she hacked it down...then my front birch tree died...i'm a total nature freak so i was so bummed...
but, i moved into a forest a few years later! and i love it here... i have 2 big oaks in my front yard too,i'm on a pie shape lot in a court yard and we back up to 50 acreas of woodland/wetland so it's nature city here...we have alot of pines too...
if i have to live here in illinois, this is where i'd want to be...but, my heart is really where the hurricain just hit...pan handle of florida...our favorite vacation spot in u.s.we were just planning to go there last weekend when the thing hit...obviously we canceled our trip...we camp a bit south of pencicola and panama...but that's were we go on our trip for our "nice dinner"...
hey chev, hope your feeling better...did you figure out what new trees to plant? in fall alot of places have sales and also dormant season is a great time to plant...i love those silver maples...when i was a child i used to climb the one in our yard and daydream as i watched the silver leaves flicker against the blue sky...they also look awsome as a storm approches... silver coins against a dark green/grey backdrop...i would love to plant a few of them in my yard...you have me thinking...
have a great day chev! luv, sandi
Just wanted to thank all of you,And Med Help. What a great place
sometimes my "sleep meds" make me sleepy the next day...so,i don't use them alot...
Thank goodness, I thought maybe something had happened. We use the same doctor you know. I keep thinking one day I'm going to run into her. I've got her phone # but I'm funny about calling people I've never met. Especially with all these brain frogs running around everywhere.
I'm with Honey, check for anemia, you might as well call the doc if you don't have copies of her latest blood work handy. If it is below 11(hgb), she might be tired from the struggle for oxygen by her red cells.
hope she feels better.
Did I miss something? What is going on with Cindee? I haven't heard from her in a while. I've emailed with no reply and that's not normal for her. Did something happen with Betty? She is such a precious lady and I miss her.
i believe Cindee also told me she was not able to get online for awhile there...something with her husbands work computer...that would explain the email thing...i pray for her...she's a sweety pie!!!
OHHHH CINDEEEE, WHERE ART THOU? WE LOVE YOU!!! S.W.A.L.K.
Hi Larry,,,These meds do make you extremely tired and I do try to pay attention to that and get as much rest as possible. How is her labs? anemic? That should all be checked out also. I would also think if sleeping day and night is on an ongoing basis,,,,Like Chev suggested,,,depression would be something to check into. Everyone is so different on how they react,,,close monitoring is something that has to be done! Good Luck to both of you!
Yes, I had times like that but they never lasted too long, usually 2 or 3 days at a time. They were also more toward the beginning of tx for me. LL
give her a hug for me too the tiredness will come and go so breathe easy These freekin drugs are real mean, but they work!
I have seen many people sleep days and nights on treatment. sometimes you are stuck with insomnia as well. It should pass in a few weeks but if you are worried talk to the doc about it.
Please tell her I said hi and congrats on her pcr thats great i caught post late and hoped she saw it
give her hugzzz from dottie
