Sovaldi price increase ?

Has anyone had trouble refilling sovaldi prescription ? My pharm. just called to tell me it went up 5000 dollars this month. Have to get approved again ! Thought price would be dropping or at least hold steady . Heck of a thing once treatment has started . Should be a price freeze or something . Walgreen spec pharm is where my ins . Makes me go and they won't accept coupon from solvadi .Hands tied , hope it comes through

So sorry to hear of this disturbing news.  I hope it's resolved soon and just an error on Walgreens part.  How can they get away with not taking the Gilead coupon?  That seems so wrong!

Prayers and good thoughts that it is resolved soon and without an increase in cost.

Hey, I agree 100% with both posts, checking with Gilead, and also, have you checked every resource for funding out there? I could not afford that amount once, never mind as a price increase. Have they lost their minds with greed? Even if you could go through Medicare Part D, once you payed the price in and out of the "doughnut hole", you would be in the "catastrophic" stage, and get most/all of it covered. It has just been my experience that your GI MDs office might be the best place to see if they can get the meds you need at the lowest possible prices. It is that way with my Rheumatologist, he has person on staff that knows all the tricks on how to get the drug I need at the lowest possible price. Please keep us updated.  mac790

Did you call your Dr or Gilead to see if it were true, or if there was a glitch in your Rx or something?  That just does not sound right!  

Picked up my latest refill from Dr Office this a.m. (was delivered to them yesterday afternoon), and nothing was said about anything!!!!

Might also csll PAN Foundation, to start process for additional help, since Pharma won't take coupon, and just in case thar is right.

Eeeek! Just what you want to deal with now! You would think they would keep the same price for you during your Tx.
