Started TX Today

I haven't been here in a long time, has anyone else started tx with Sovaldi, Peg and Riba recently?  I started tx today and am very excited about the positive results.  For once, I want to hear the word undetectable.  I am a gt1, a or b undetermined, diagnosed 9 years ago.  I have treated previously 5 times, the last with Incevik.  Four of those tx's resulted in being a non-responder, however, with Incevik I had a breakthrough with that wicked drug.  Just curious if anyone out there is having positive results with Sovaldi so far!  Thank you!

I wish you the best for finally hearing the virus is UNDETECTED. I give you a lot of credit for pushing forward despite so many disappointments. May this be the one treatment that finally helps you reach SVR at last.

Sorry to hear that they won't check your VL until tx's done.  I am already scheduled every 2 weeks.  I understood that I should be clear at 2 weeks, however if not by 4, they would stop my tx.

I am fortunate that my insurance covers all the test with a $20 co-pay.

Wish you the best...so hoping this is finally it!

Yes I have & to my disappointment, they do NOT take another VL until the 12th week.....I was pretty upset about this...I had been waiting 19 months since the last tx......of course that's all I care about.

They told me they are so sure of Sovaldi, 100% of the tests have come back undie after a month, they are able to tell thru ALT levels if everything is OK..

They also don't want to take a VL because of the expense...I will have VL taken before starting, after 12 weeks, 6wks into SVR & at 3 months SVR....this is for a 12 week program of course.

Have you gotten your 2 week results back yet?  My doctor seems to think I'll be undetectable at 2 weeks! All the best to you as well!

Thanks Nan, trying to stay positive here.  I see the ribavirin has already gotten to me...I haven't treated 5 times before, this is my 5th time!  It's going to be a long 12 weeks.  I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, it's all just a bit overwhelming at the moment!
