Started combination therapy

Had my first jab of Pegintron peginterferon alfa-2b yesterday and on 1200mg Rebetol daily. Not sure how long for this time.  Bit of a hangover type feeling this morning but thats it for now.

i see you are in the UK gnr i guess they are not available there yet... PI's are protease inhibitor drugs Telepriver (incivek) and bocepriver they were just FDA approved in the USA in june lots of people are on somthing now called triple therapy with one of these drugs in addition to the peg and riba... cure rates are 75-85% as opposed to 30-40% with just standard combo therapy...

Thanks for  that information there has been mention of  protease inhibitors in the uk but not until 2012 to 2014

Hiy thanks for the support. Its my third round of treatment. I shall be going every week for a month to have bloods done I should find out more after that. frijole forgive my ignorance but what is a PI.

It is common to feel a little "foggy" the next morning after your injection.  Congrats on your first injection.  I have a counter on my computer counting down the injections and the medication.  You may want to check with your health coordinator and see how long you will be injecting.  I know I have until April 19th.  Good luck with your treatment.

Congratulations on getting started.  You say this is not your first time?  Are you also doing a PI?

I hope you have a good day.  I am taking PegIntron and found that it helps to take tylenol every 8 hours the day after the shot.
