Thanking God for Week 4 Results

Hi All, Thank you for all of the support that you provide to me and everyone in this community.  Wanted to share that my clinical trial nurse called me this morning to let me know that at week 4, my viral load is down to 365 (as she said, just like the number of days in the year).  I have had a roller coaster ride as my week 1 results had me going down to 11,500 from a baseline of 2.3 million and week 2 had me going back up to 307,000.  I am in the Gilead GS5885/9451/Teboguvir/SOC trial for non respondes and was given the active 9451 on day 18 after Teboguvir was removed from the trial.  I am currently on the active 5885 and 9451 along with SOC.  As I posted last week, I had a "divine appointment" with a Pastor friend of mine last Friday and started the path of spiritual healing and faith in God.  As I was having my conversation with God this morning and asking him to give me physical healing, the trial nurse was leaving me my incredible news message.  I know that the road is still long - I will be on the quad tx until week 24 and then continue with SOC for another 24 weeks, but I have faith, spirit and belief in God as I go down this journey.  My other counts are showing that I am responding to the interferon - my HgB is 12.6 (I started at 15.8), my WBC is 3.83, my ANC is 1.63 and my platelets are at 199.  The ALT is at 56 and AST is 33.  The nurse said that these numbers are fine and that I don't need to worry - the care that I receive in the trial is amazing as the team is responsive and there 24/7.  I thank God for this and will continue to heal the spirit and physical parts of me.

Oh wow!  Great results!  That is a rollercoaster and the first I've heard about numbers being down but then going back up, then down again.  Good thing you are monitored closely in the trial.

And, you're welcome for the support here.  Praying continued good outcome for you :)

It's wonderful that your viral load is decreasing, I wish you success but this form is for medical discussion specifically, not spirituality as stated by MedHelp.

This forum is for questions about medical issues and research aspects of Hepatitis C such as, questions about being newly diagnosed, questions about current treatments, information and participation in discussions about research studies and clinical trials related to Hepatitis.
