Hi there,
It appears Viraferonpeg is marketed in the U.S. as Pegintron; that’s why your not getting too many responses to your query.
These two drugs are very similar in their SVR (sustained viral response) rates; there have been numerous trials that have explored the differences, the largest one was sponsored by Schering-Plough, a comparison called the IDEAL study. Here is a list of links that discuss this issue if you want to read through:

From personal experience I used both, and was successful the second time with the Pegintron (Viraferonpeg). Although, keep in mind other patients in here have reported fewer/less debilitating side effects with the Pegasys. Nothing with this disease comes easy, I'm afraid...
Best of luck to you,
Bill
scherings pegintron was bought out some months ago - i thought i heard pegasys was also - merck took over production of one of them
thanks all... viraferonpeg is like a big pen sort of.. its got powder and solution in it..
got a call from specialist today n I've decided to go for the pegasys (needle) x
Based on what I've read it looks like viraferonpeg is an alpha 2b pegylated interferon. Further, it looks the same as what's more commonly referred to as Pegintron Redipen.
If that's true I'd prefer the Pegasys. I've used both,
I never heard of viraferonpeg. I'm on Pegasys.
I figured I'd answer so that your post would get bumped back to the top so somebody who knows what this is might see it.
