the Pcr viral load test is very expensive, around $500, or so.  Ask your Dr for the confirmatory antibaody test, Riba.  It is VERY specific for Hcv antibody.  If the Riba is neg, then you are negative for antibody.  Much cheaper than the Pcr test.

Go to a doctor and ask for an HCV/RNA (viral load) test. If you have a viral load you have hep C. If no virus shows up in your blood, you do not have hep C. The kind of tests you are having are antibody tests and they sometimes show either a false positive or false negative.
