Tx. started

Last night I started my injections and ribivirin. I got the chills about 4-5 hours later and before I awoke I was getting warm. I'm optimistic and hope there arn't any side effects. So far so good . My journey has begun and I look forward to a completion in six months. The anixety of giving myself the injection was worse than the shot itself. I'm feeling good and was wondering if anyone had the same expierence as I had with the first shot? Will I lose some hair?

Congrats on Shot #1, only 23 to go, woohoo!!!  The time will fly by.  I didn't start getting any sides, other than a floaty feeling, till about week 3.  Since then they have varied...

Yes, your hair may thin somewhat, but it is only temporary and it will grow back quickly once the drugs are out of system.  Just be kind to hair :)

Glad to hear you've started, that sounds like my first shot.  My 2nd one wasn't as bad.  good luck with your journey

Nov.07, took first shot.Four and one half hrs. later, fever, chills, nightsweats.Last night took third shot, same thing throughout.From reading on here very normal.Congratulations on taking your first shot.Remember your goal,SVR !

Good luck going forward, sounds like you had a typical start to tx. Will you lose some hair??? Probably, but consider yourself lucky if thats as bad as it gets.... Best to you

Congradulations and starting tx!   Yes your symptoms sound normal  for first shot.  I'm so glad that you got started!   It will go by fast too.   Take care,   -Libby
