UD AFTER 3 WEEKS OF TRIPLE MEDS

Got some great news ud after 3 weeks the new Insivek must be some good stuff.
Was having lots of nausea and vomiting this week end and today Doc gave me a script for Ondansetron
for nausea and vomiting hopefully helps.

How often to you all do your blood work my Doc has me doing it every 11/2 weeks to check levels is that about right?
Do you have to stay on Insivek for 3 months and peg and rib for 6 months to stay ud? Sometimes I think I'm not going to make 6 months it's only been a month and I'm really sick. Had a Nephro appointment today couldn't go was vomiting and dizzy all day my wife is taking me tomorrow to the Gastro guy this stuff is kicking my as.... more than I thought it would. God bless the people that can work out swim and walk their dogs I miss all that can't wait to do it again soon I hope. But I did get some good news today and I thank God for that!!!!!

Not sure how you hooked onto a 6 month old post, but if you hit the "back to forum" blue words, you will be directed to today's post.  We are a fairly active forum and you will find a lot of support and information here.

Welcome to the forum and that is great news that you have gotten to week 3 triple with no side effect.  I suggest you go to the top and "post a question" and introduce yourself.  Tell us how long you have had hep C, if this is your first treatment and anything else you want to share.  I guess you are doing Incevik?

Good news Clyde,, sorry about the vomiting though, I have never liked to do that. Hope the meds doc gave you help out with that, just make sure you stay hydrated, you can lose alot of fluids by throwing up. Wishing better days for you! ..anne

Yay, great news, Clyde!  The ondansetron (Zofran) is what I took too and it made a world of difference.  Sounds like the meds are working for you, hang in there.  It's awesome to be UND at 3 wks!   Lapis

Hey Clyde.  Wonderful UND news!  Terrible about the vomitting though.  That's the first I have heard of anyone having that side.  Don't remember who posted it but I think I read that taking the pills first and then food on top of them to "push the pills down", helps keep the tummy happy.

If anyone remembers that post, please chime in, as I don't want to give incorrect info.  All the best to you.  Hope you feel better soon and get things under control.

Awesome news, cleared a week early, now that your und you stay on incevik for 9 more weeks for a total of twelve. If your still und at eight and twelve you will have to finish out six months of RIBA and peg. Your doc is right to check your blood every week and a half. I go every two weeks. Joe
