Ultrasound of the liver

Once again I want to thank everyone for being here!  I am sure without the support and information provided by all of you that my husband would be in real trouble by now.  The doctors are so bad here in Nevada that I truely felt they were killing him.

Thanks to the help provided here we were able to get Dr. Robert Gish as his doctor.  Dr. Gish has him getting an untrasound of the liver every 6 months to monitor for cancer.  My question is, has anyone seen an improvement in there ultrasound since starting treatment?  Hubby is stage 4, hep c 1b.  When he got his ultrasound this week they said "Wow, your liver is looking a lot better! "  The tech. stated that she can see the vessles more clearly and that the liver is much more smoother than the last untrasound.

Hubby is at week 25 of treatment and at week 19 was still dectectable at "59" of those little suckers left.  He just took his 24 week blood draw and we are hoping for a big fat "0".

We heard that the medication can help reverse some of the damage, but I'm just wondering if anyone heard of someone actually reversing enough that they would no longer need a transplant?

Its amazing but it seems like he is getting better.  He now has days where his skin is clean and smooth, and his eyes are bright.  He appears to have more energy, and his thought process is improving.  Its been a while since I've seen him look so good.  In the past his base line was bright red eyes, red blotchy skin and a swollen face.

I guess I'm looking for a miracle.....

Airborn's wife,

Don't you worry at all, just trust in God and keep praying.  Prayers can make a great deal of difference.

I know one very old lady in a remote villiage in Pakistan who had hepatitis B, and she vomited blood a few years ago.  she was so poor she couldn't afford treatment except for traditional herbs.

she got progressively better, and now she's over 80 years old and still active.

I pray that your husband gets well, feels even better and gets rid of this virus.

Here's a miracle you can think about---

My husband works with a gal who was cured (svr)from HCV and undetectable for the last 3 years. She had stage 4 cirrosis and is perfectly healthy with functioning liver.
I don't know the particulars of any recent bx and what it showed but I do know that her liver did regenerate...
