WoW, at my study they have me bring the pills, take them off somewhere, do a count. Then when pills are low, they take back all pills and give me new bottles. Mine is a very controlled study. I dont like my pills out of my sight.

Heh, the study I'm currently in is passing out the Riba to me like candy.  I still have like three full bottles from the last dispense, and i got another one today.

I asked the nurse about this, she said that was study protocol. I suspect I'll end up with numerous bottles left as well. It is weight based, and I'm just over the cutoff between 1000 and 1200 - so I'm taking 6 of the little orange buggers a day.

Just to clarify - my post was a CYA.  Had a fellow nurse lose her job for dispensing meds when she gave some Tylenol to another nurse!  And that was years ago - God only knows what bizarre laws are in effect now.

I admire you for, your heart is in the right place. There are folks here who need you. Sometimes legalities are not nessarily fair or right. When de old man I took care of died. I found old folks who were perscribed same meds but could not afford. one man was only able to purchase 7 pills of his perscription ( a shame I tell you) . The old man had cases of meds, The VA sends out boko meds lots of pills. The old folks I gave de pills to, like metformin, potasum, blood presure pill ect. were able to buy food. Becarefull. God bless you.

You might want to check the expiration date on the bottles

Glad to hear things are going well for you.  I did post about interested parties contacting you via private messaging too as that does make the most sense.   I aslo have a couple of extra bottles of riba which I'm holding on to for obvious reasons.

Good luck with your endeavours-

Just a thought...if anyone was interested in this, they likely wouldn't post on the open forum, they'd be private messaging you.  Might want to check there also.

I did the same thing with my left over Meds. I mailed them to someone that didn’t have insurance. Looking back, my heart was in the right place but it wasn’t a wise thing to do. I later found out that we have an organization here ( St. Vincent Depaul) that provides shelter, clothes, food, used eye glasses, etc for the needy. I was told they also have a pharmacy that takes sealed Meds. I’m not sure what the protocol is but you may want to see if you have something like this in your area.

We have a feature called a PM and nothing else needs to be public so why not just contact granite privately?  PM's can contain personal email addresses.

I wouldn't make such a big fuss out of it.

We have had people here who have not been able to get their meds renewed on time or wanted to taper off tx and didn't have enough meds to do it. Or for whatever other reason didn't have enough meds. And thanks to people like Granite, they were able to stay on tx.

Hmmm, I just may do that. I'll monitor this thread while I'm at work today and if no one is interested I will drop them off at the Dr's.

Hey, long time no see. Good to see you around, hope you are doing well! How is SVR life treating you?

I'm sure someone will be very happy to get your meds.

Yeah.. Not a good idea.. All sorts of MAJOR ramifications involved.  Not only legal, but liability too.. Dont get me wrong, you have good intentions.. Maybe you could give them to the doc for someone who cant afford??

I'm pretty sure it's technically illegal. I'm offering it anyway - better for it to go to someone who needs it versus chucking it in the trash.

You better check on the legality of offering a prescribed med for sale on line - if that's what your post is doing.
