Cancer is Stage 3 with some lymph node involvement, but luckily, no metastises to the liver or anywhere. Team is planning 6 weeks of radiation & chemo, then surgery, then more chemo. This will start probably within 2 weeks.
Thanks for the responses. When this is done I will be back here for the next battle of Hep C. Keep strong everyone.
Sun,
How devestating. First the anxiety over Hep C treatment and then colon cancer. But Hector is point on. Cancer trumps Hep C. Take care of that first and I wish you the very best.

I am very sorry to hear about your diagnosis of Colorectal cancer. Although it is very difficult to deal with a diagnosis of cancer, it is best that they caught it before the cancer progressed any further.
Hepatitis C is a disease that progresses slowly over many decades. Waiting until you have resolved your issues with colorectal cancer to start treatment will make no difference in the amount of liver damage you have or your chances of being cured of virus. Whether you treat your hepatitis C now or 6 months from now will make no difference.
Cancer always trumps hepatitis C and liver disease treatment. Cancer is now the biggest threat to your health and life. Treating cancer as early as possible after its diagnosis is extremely important in the outcome of the disease. The earlier the stage, the easier it is to treat and the better the chances of a good outcome.
So focus on your cancer for now. If you have extensive liver damage it can always be monitored using blood draws and imaging while you are treating your cancer. When you have beaten your cancer, than you can come back to deal with your hepatitis C and liver disease. When you are able to treat your hepatitis C we will be here to help you with your treatment.
Best of luck with your staging results. I hope they caught the cancer in its very early stages.
Cheers!
Hector
