Thank you. I think you are right about Telepravir making the treatment worse.
Congratulations! It sounds like 8 times is the charm!
Knowing what my husband went through going through treatment twice, I dont' know how you're doing it.
You've mentioned that this is your hardest treatment yet, and I suspect it's the telepravir that's making the difference. If I'm understanding you correctly, the next 24 weeks will just be SOC. If that's so, I'm hoping that your side effects lessen and that you "sail" through the rest of treatment.
Congratulations! I'm delighted for you. You will achieve SVR for sure. Keep up the great sacrifice. You in the trial are helping all of us. Thanks for sharing.
Alternatively you can email me at salorman2006 at yahoo dot com. Make sure you spell salorman with the same typo as I did.
I will be back in two hours.
Eric
Your email was blocked. Send me a message through my profile with your contact information and I will get in touch. I am happy to talk with you.
Let's try that again...
I'm at week twenty...and like you I'm struggling with the possibility of continuing for another 24. I'd like to talk to you off line about your results if you're amenable.

Here I am - still going!!
Lots of brain fog these day though and I can't write very easily.
You feeling better?
glucklich: thanks.
MyOwn: Thanks for your support.
child24angel: You are such a great person - offering support t all of us while you are going through so much with your son. I hope things turn out well for you as well.
Hmmmm - Well you just got called the Energizer Bunny.... LOL!
So - Methinks you're gonna do just fine... Beyond the Expectation - is more like it.

I was using High tech in the colloquial sense to refer to the computer technology industry and its practices where alpha was beta and beta was release 1.
in any event it is super news that you are doing so well.
Congratulations - sounds like good news to me. I give you alot of credit going thru tx 7 times. I don't think I will tx again unless there are more studies with geno 2's. Unless they can try to figure out why 10 per cent of my geno type don't svr, when 90% do, then I don't want to bother. If my damage was more than what it is (0) I would then I guess.
I hope and pray you achieve svr this time. My heart truly goes out to you and others that have relapsed so many times. That's too much disapointment for me to deal with, thats another reason I probably wouldn't tx.
Wish you the best.
"Biotech ain't high tech" What do you mean by that? I think it is about as high tech as you can get.
I think they will contact me. I don't have an appointment at 26 weeks. You can be sure I will contact them if I don't hear ASAP!!!
Congratulations!!!!!!!
You should start feeling better soon if you're in Arm B.
Do you have to wait until your 26 week appt. or will your clinic concact you when they get the results?
It will be interesting to see how your Hgb responds to no more Telaprevir.
I can't wait to see what our VL's have been doing the last 6 mos!!!
he only data we have is that SOC did not work at least once. Biotech ain't high tech and that you are a beta site sucks but we all signed up for this.
I have no idea of how 12 or 24 really effect SVR, but I do know much more than simple logic is needed to understand what is rally going on. I am ambivalent abut B or D. What I am sure of is that I want the beast dead.
Good luck with whatever happens.
does this mean i used it incorrectly or perfectly?
;-)

miked: I am in week 23 now. I have very mixed feeling about continuing. There is no data to indicate how that will change the probability of SVR for me. Intuitively, we all probably feel it will improve it, but no one knows by how much and if it is worth giving up another 24 weeks of life.
Deb: I just saw the etymology for "beyond the pale": during the 17th century, it meant beyond the jurisdiction of the local government. The pale being the town. I hope I didn't bore you with that - LOL.
TravelMom: I think the people in Groups C will not get a fax, since they already know they will stop at week 24. I really hope things work out for Amanda.
This is good news...you are still und..!!!
As I mentioned last week we got a fax having Amanda repeat her 20 week VL, which we did on Friday...going crazy awaiting the results...although we wont really get results...not sure what we will get...I wonder if everyone gets some sort of fax from their 20 week visit...her 24 week visit is Monday...we already know she is in group C...just praying the repeat was not due to suspected breakthrough.
Good luck to you.
Congrats on continuing! How do you feel about another 24 weeks?
I lost track but what week are you in?
Of course...on the Pact!
I'm sorry about the cog feeling. I wish there was something I could say ....all I can say is that someone(s) understands what you are saying.....and is there for you. Not just me and that's for damn sure. I get the sense that you ...hahaha....Captain Your Own Ship and this must be beyond the pale for you in terms of feeling like you are running your own life.
Deb
This is no surprise. I feel like a cog in a machine; slowly moving through this irresistable force with not enough information to change direction.
I will stick with our pact if you will.
Well, what are you feeling about this?
Sorry to be such a chick but I can't read between the lines on what you think.
