400,000 or below is considered low in terms of how it can effect your chances of SVR.  A viral load of 400,000 or below gives a better chance or reaching SVR.  No, it doesn't mean the virus is any less strong, and viral loads can change over short periods of time.  My doctor had indicated than anything over 400,000 was considered a higher viral load but on another post yesterday it was brought to my attention that viral loads are broken down in different classifications as follows.  If treatment is an option, you have the same chance of clearing the virus with a viral load of 1,000,000 as you do with 10,000,000.

below 200.000
very low
below detection limit of bDNA test

200,000-1,000,000
low

1,000,000-5,000,000
medium
average viral load at 3,200,000 eq/ml

5,000,000-25,000,000
high

above 25,000,000
very high

Hey there.

I am sort of new here, so I won't try and throw a bunch of facts at you, since there are plenty of people here that can do it better than I can.
However, I have a viral load of 500,000, so we are almost identical.

When I asked my specialist what that load was in terms of severity, he said that it was very middle of the road. He said it was significant, but not high, which they would consider starting around 800,000

Here's a small def:
Viral load is a measure of the severity of a viral infection, and can be calculated by estimating the amount of virus in an involved body fluid. For example, it can be given in RNA copies per milliliter of blood plasma.

I'm sure others will give you more detail and info to your specific questions/concerns
