help need advice about hep c

Hi I got my ears pierced about a month ago inside a small little shop in the city I read that there was a possibilty have getting hep c from a piercing gun the piercer wore glove got a pack of starter studs they seemed to be new he sprayed them down a few times shook them to make sure the cleanser got around then placed the stud in the gun I hesatated at first then finally let him do it from this experience would I be considered at risk for hep c

In a class I took recently, there was a discussion relating to ear piercings. Standards today are the use of disposable parts with these guns. The issue of back spray of blood is of concern. A tiny drop of blood can hold a huge number of virus. Call up the shop and ask necessary questions.
It is possible that some of us old farts got "c" at pre-1991 standards used at jewelry shops.

It seems extremely unlikely to me.
There would have to have been blood on the stud from a person infected with hep C.
Hep C is spread via blood to blood contact.
