Virus mutation

I have been on combo therapy for nine months. 5 million IU of Intron A 3x wk & 1200 mg Ribavirin / day.  My viral count last September was > 850,000 x 1000.  It has recently stalled out at 275,000 x 1000 for the last several months.  I understand that the Hep-C virus can mutate and become immune to Interferon treatment.  I went on sick leave from work in July due to worsening symptoms and side effects.  I have stage 2 liver damage with early bridging fibrosis.  Classic symptoms include extreme fatigue, nausea, joint aches, liver & spleen pain, confusion, depression, anxiety, tremors and diahrea. Current meds include: Tylenol, Xanax, Prozac, Remeron, Inderal and Prilosec.  Research I have done indicates that if your viral load is not at zero after six months of treatment, you are certain to be a non-responder.
