Personally, I'm not a big fan of any 'multi vitamin'....I'm of the mind that we are are different in our make-up and of course what we obtain in our diet. With HCV you should be getting labs...CBC/Metabolic Panel...that will measure your potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, etc. I also asked for my D and B to be checked. A lot of folks with liver disease are deficient in D and B helps with a lot of symptoms we are subject too.
I took D3, a blend of B's, magnesium and a very good probiotic before, during and after treatment. I would encourage you to work with your doc for testing and find what is specific to your needs. Just a thought. :)
Thanks, these Centrum Silver (age 50+ even though I am half that) don't have iron in them, but I was taking Flinstones (LOL) and I checked and those DO have it so good thing I found that out. I did read on a body building site that Centrum vitamins don't necessarily have the best absorption rates. I don't have a PCP so I don't know what it's like to have to contact a G.I. for things like this. I went through a walk in place and I guess I would say that the doctor I saw there would be the closest to my PCP. So I have cut iron out of the vitamins at least. Thanks! I just wasn't sure how critical it was to choose multivits.
