Weight and affects of noassatol
Started treatment on November 25th and weight was 206. Today I am at 176. That is a 15% drop in body weight and it doesn't appear that it will improve in the near future. Is this typical for most people? I refuse to buy clothes hoping the weight will come back quickly after treatment ends in October.
My carpet guy is here trying to figure out how to get 5 kittens out from behind the foundation where there is a hole only big enough for cats. He is a REALLY nice guy. He's been doing this a long time, so I wonder too. His partner looks like he's been offgassed. Nice but not sure how he does it anymore.

To tell you the truth, I'm not exactly sure about the pole cat. My ma used to use that phrase, I think she was referring to a skunk tho.
Carpets-Off-gasing is just that. Let it air out, actually blowing it out works. I hate to clean a carpet so new since the protectant is actually baked on in the mill and all a cleaner can do is spray more on, work it in and let it cure 24 hours. That means noone walking on it at all. Then again, you really only need protectant where you walk since traffic and the grit it brings with it actually wears it off the fibers.
Just a warm water rinse might help too. Course the cleaner would charge the same. That equipment isn't cheap. There are a lot of different carpets out there now. I would call the manufacturer of your brand of carpet and specifically ask about offgassing and the use of formaldahyde. It might be outlawed by now. What kind of pad did you put down? Did you put new underlayment? It would really be a shame to have to clean it so soon.

Exercise ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - tying my shoes exhaust me. standing up means I have to be still and let my breath catch up, I think a doctor needs to take a month of this treatment so stupids don't jump out of their mouths. A long walk for me is when the emergency pee alarm goes off in my head at 3:00 in the morning and I have to jog (slow drunken walk) to the bathroom hoping I don't overshot and land in the tub.

Where do you live and what is a Pole cat? The only pole cats we have around here are the ones in North Beach that swing on their poles.
That is a good thought about the carpet! The vomitting did start after the carpets were installed, although one other time this happened before carpet. What do you do to get it out? Also, any tips on cleaning w/o ruining the stain resistance and spotting tips?

Problem with clothing is if I bend down I don't have plumbers crack I have a full mooning. I guess the great thing about the riba is that I don't care if my butts hangin out anymore.

I told Walter last night that you and I are having the same sx's in about the same way. My GP keeps asking me about exercise and I finally got to the point where I just look at her like she's nuts. She says "yeah okay. After tx". Next time I'm using your line about getting all the exercise I need stretching in bed and hoping the pain will go away.

Fever lasts Monday night and then for the next two days my body just hurts.

We did a place with carpets about six months old and both ended up in the yard sicker than pole cats, went home and stayed in bed til the next day. New carpet used to have to off-gas for a spell. Used to use formaldahyde in the making or curing of it thus the need to off-gas.
They may have changed this but wanted to share my experience with you.

You need to add a couple of spaces between groups of letters. Very good DR. When I first read it I thought it was a steroid.
I'm tall so I am taking on the appearance of an anemic scare crow being used for the second season. When you can count your ribs from both sides its a little much. The old saying that you can feel your belly button dragging your backbone has come true. I think fewer of us have this type of weight loss the the reverse. Doctors advise to me was eat anything that tasted good to me and not to worry about if it were good for me or bad for me. Can't stand the taste of sugar so that illiminates a snacks right off. Your husband may do fine with this treatment. As far as being inactive I get plenty of exercise every night laying in bed stretching my legs and hips and ankles hoping they will stop hurting soon. Luckily with the brain fog you don't remember it the next day. Good luck to you and your husband. Dale
This is a condition brought on when ones cheeks flatten out to the point ones pants must be suspended with sky hooks. I am told I now look like a bull frog in a pair of pants walking away. Sorry for the curve ball. This group has taught me that there is always more said between the lines than on the lines. It helps fight the fog back some. PS I have jogging pants with a choke string on it. I hook them over my hip bones and hope they stay there. Otherwise I just walk around like the Jerk with them gliding around my ankles:)

Man, did you ever hit the nail on the head! You have no idea how many times I've started a posting to someone on here and cancelled it cause I just didn't have the energy to finish my thoughts or typing.
Between the fatigue, the lethargy, the gas, metal taste I could go on and on. The cold milk doesn't do it for me, but I haven't tried the cheese and crackers. I went thru a period where the only thing that sounded/tasted good was chili dogs. Then one day I woke up and the idea turned my stomach. I used to love olive oil and now the smell drives me nuts.
And the job. Good grief. They have been good, but we're a small company and I know he'd rather pay me to be here even if I'm not doing anything, but I do feel like I'm taking money for nothing. BTW, isn't that a song? Of course, if I'm not here or contemplate it I feel guilty.

I started treatment at 176 lbs and hit a low of 148 lbs. At 15 or so weeks post treatment I am now at 172 lbs. Regarding wardrobe purchase, yes, the pants I'm now wearing are mid-treatment purchases and what once was loose, now is snug.

That is good news that you are back up in size. I've rocked along for 20 years at this 200 mark and the loss has really concerned me. When this treatment is over I am considering growing a gut and wear it like a trophy. How is all going with you - weight gain - good. Is everything else getting back to a good normal? Dale

Cuteus, I am on pegasys and copegus, and even though I have a metallic taste in my mouth, I still can eat anything I want. I haven't lost nor gained a pound. I do crave fruit, however.
motheroffour, your husband may or may not lose weight. My NP told me if I lost a lot of weight (would have been nice), that they can mix up a concoction that would keep from losing too much weight.
