Weight loss

Has anyone else with HCV experienced severe loss
of muscle mass? I've lost about 50% of mine in 18 months.

Perhaps you could tell us a little more about yourself to allow others to comment.  Have you had a biopsy and know the stage of liver fibrosis?  Have you begun tx yet?  Do you exercise at all or feel fatigued most of the time?

My HCV was asymptomatic, but during tx I did suffer a loss of muscle mass.  I quickly rebounded after tx though and feel back to normal.

Interesting...When you say 50% of muscle, where you referring to weight loss? Weight now/then?

What were you doing during this 18 month period ?
As flcy asked, what is the condition of your liver ?

Those with advanced cirrhosis experience loss of muscle mass.
