Well I did it.....I'm finished with TX

48 weeks of torture and pain is over with. someone told me that the first half was physical and the second half was mental, and boy were they right. it had to be the most difficult thing I've ever gone thru. i don't know what i'm gonna do this weekend without a treatment. it doesn't feel right. i guess it's called treatment separation anxiety. BS, i know what i'm gonna do; enjoy not pukin and feelin like a zombie. in one month i go for a full set of labs and tests to see if the blood counts and platelets come back. if not it's back on rescue drugs for me. the blood counts are pretty low now. at 6 months i go for another blood test and hope to be SVR. i guess the best thing is to not think about it. i'm confident about the outcome.

yesterday a friend of mine in work lost his father and we have this tradition that an email goes around with the subject "Sad News". you can drop by and sign the card and give your condolences. well last night i had this dream that the email was about me and i was telling my boss what to write in the email....freaky hah? not the kink of dream i like.

well i'm on the road back to god health and will be in the wind soon enough. i'm not ready to check out just yet. thanks for bein there peeps.

Way to go, Unc!! Hope to see an SVR post in due time.

I think there is such a thing called Treatment Speration Anxiety, at least in my mind. We spend each day and week on such a rigid schedule of taking our meds and shots at precisely the right time, noting side effects, decifering lab work, ordering our meds...... I remember being SO happy to be done, but there was this "gap". It soon was filled with more interesting ways to spend my time, and hope the same holds true for you.

Bounce back quickly, Pam

So happy to read your news.  After 48 weeks, the norm is all skewed.  I hope you recover quickly.  Last treatment I continued witht the procrit and the neupogen until the prescriptions were gone.  - Maybe a week or two after tx was over - and it did help the counts to rebound.

Enjoy

Congratulations!  So glad for your good news.  Keep in mind that it will take some time for your counts to come back up, so take it easy, and don't get too frustrated.  Here's to good health.

Congratulations.
I suggest getting yourself a treat, eat dinner out, buy some special dessert, or get a massage.
After 48 weeks, you deserve it.
