What causes multiple inconclusive HEP C antibody tests.

Hello I am a 24 year old female and for couple of years every time I get my blood checked I get an inconclusive HEP C test. I am not a drug user and have only safe sex with condom with only one partner. Every time I get retested the test comes back negative. I just don’t understand why I keep getting the inconclusive tests.

Ask a doctor as far as why you have inclusive tests. But if you don’t have hep c then you don’t have hep c.

Why are you having repeated hep c antibody tests if you are not at risk?

Just to add you could have the HCV RNA by PCR that looks for the virus itself. If that is negative then you have nothing to worry about.

You maybe having a cross reactive result on the antibody test something else is causing your inconclusive tests.
