I visited with him this morning and his girlfriend was with him. Neither on seems to understand. I told them about this site, but they are not good with the computer. He just turned 55 and he seems quite confussed. I want to help him, but i don't know what to do if they don't get the right information. I told them to write the test results down so I can see them. He is going into the hospital tomorrow to have the fluids drained since the pills are not working. I have given him all the paperwork that I found, thanks to this site, for getting ssd, and he is fillig them out. His girlfriend is going to make an appt for him.
He is taking lactulose and that has helped his speech. Thanks so much for the comment, I keep looking to see if anyone is answering and I am happy for any suggestions.
I remember your last post here it is, maybe with the added information you will get a response. One thing I don't understand is the contradiction of statement by the doctor, he starts out to say he called and said things look good, did something change, like did the water pills kick in? God Bless below is your other post
"My brother in law has chirosis, and the doctor said only 2% liver function. Hi stomach is hugh and his legs are so bloated he can no longer walk. His first doctor wrote him off said he is all done. He went to a new doctor who put him on water pills. He has been taking them a couple weeks, without improvement. He is itchy, very yellow, and is so tired, his words are slurred. He is going to see a liver specialist tomorrow. Any input is appreciated"
