apache1 - If you get 'suspensions' about Marin Co guys, well that's between you and your boxers.... but please leave me out of it. LOL ;-)
Geterdone - Once in awhile my schedule would yield a tripple witching day with all three scheduled: Procrit, INF, and {hmmm... I've actually forgotten he name of the wbc booster and I am NOT going to look it up.. if I never remember it it will be too soon}. Anyway I quickly learned that the tripple whammy was not for me.
thanks geterdone,
your input is appreciated and is exactly why I posted this...
I wish the hell I had done my shots on Wed. night...
woulda shoulda coulda.

Looking at all the responses it would be sake to say if “working” while on treatment it would be better to take the Interferon shot on Wednesday night as apposed to Friday night because of the 72 to 96 hour cmax phase of the Interferon. If “not” working it does not matter other than being able to work it in around your social calendar or particular time frame.
A side note,
I had found that taking the procrit shot on the same night as the interferon made me personally sick on Saturday and Sunday because of the amplified side effects of both and had found that separating these shots lessened the effects or leveled them out to where it was more tolerable than being hit all at once. A good majority here say they feel no difference when taking both at the same time but for those that work and who do notice that they feel more ill when taking both together try moving the procrit shot back from the interferon shot and the side effects may not be as server.
What worked for me was to take the procrit shot on Tuesday night and the interferon shot on Friday night and if you read the insert package this will bear out of the cmax peaks, just a side note and to each its own.

Bandman, this is a good thread and it would help to see more input from sitting and past members who post and then have it put on the Health Page as a good reference.
thursday friday pegintron
relapse after second treatment - a grim day
1. Friday night
2. Monday sometimes sunday but mostly monday
3. Pegintron
4. first three months of tx was the hardest. But doable
1 Monday
2 Tuesday
3 Pegasys/Telaprevir
GoofyDad...lmao, that confirms my suspensions about Marin County guys... lol
Friday night shot
Wednesday worst day
Pegasys
Sat Afternoon
The day the Sweedish nurse next door anounced she was packing up her enema bag and returning home to care for her mother
(Friday was the generally worst sx)
Wednesday evening
Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Pegasys
Not much at all in the way of interferon sx after about week 7.
1. Friday
2. Saturday.
3. Pegintron was far far worse side effects for me than Pegasys - Pegasys seemed easy by comprison (although I wasn't taking riba then, Riba magnifies sfx I think).
1. Thursday
2. Any day - (depression) - good days, bad days. Worse after I completed tx ( the first time round)
(Fatigue only the very beginning of tx. The riba makes me very wired. I feel like I should be running in circles around my dining room table. The fatigue was crumby, but this wired feeling is not comfortable because its not a "nice energetic feeling", its a anxious feeling).
3. Pegasys
No procrit first tx.
This tx predosed riba for 3 months prior to starting tx in mid April. Did first procrit shot Sept 20.
No procrit as I was on a trial. Had to take Riba reduction due to anemia.
A follow up question, Who is also taking Procrit for the anemia and in what week did you start after starting treatment.
I had started in week 5 @ 40k and through rest of treatment.

I agree that any kind of stress amplifies the sides, I have a theory it's due to the cortisol released during stressful times interacting badly with the tx meds.
I really tried to micromanage my sides by trying to avoid stress during peak concentration window (sorry, I think I'm repeating myself!) but unfortunately I couldn't micromanage it all and got hit a few times out of the blue.
So many variables, so little control!
I started out with Friday PM injections. After finding that Monday and Tuesday seemed worse than the weekends, I got permission to back it up to Friday AM and then to Thursday PM if I wanted to. I have stayed the the Friday AM dosing, but I think that stress at work was more of a factor than the timing of the dose for me.
1. Friday AM
2. Sunday, but every day was bad at one time or another.
3. Pegasys
Sounds reasonable to me....
Actually with me , every day was bad, its just that a Tues and Wed. really sucked.

I have thought about changing the Friday night shot time due to the time it takes the Pegasys to reach peak serum, which of course coincides with the 'worst sx day', however I decided to stay with Friday as it at least affords me 2 days where I can really rest and look after myself which has a huge impact on the severity of my sides on my worst day. If I don't rest on Sat and Sun you can guarantee Tuesday will be horrible...
What I have found useful is not planning important work meetings or other important or stressful activities within the 72 - 96 hour peak serum window.
1. Friday pm
2. Sunday-Tuesday (feel bad on Friday afternoon - may just be tired)
3. Pegasys & Ribapak
1. Monday pm
2. Thursday
3. Pegasys
Thanks for the valuable poll. It does suggest that the Friday evening advice isn't tailored to Pegasys.
1. Friday Pm
2. Wed After 3 mon
3. Pegasys
1. Friday noon
2. Friday evening
3. Peg-Intron
