a sudden rash , no bumps nor sores

I am a 76 yo male. What may be the cause  of an upper body rash , looks as a sunburn,  and an itch on my left breast. No bumbs nor any sores.    The only change in my ingestion in the days immediately preceeding , was a trial of using coconut oil with my cereal...  only used a tablespoon or so.   it is now three days and the rash is still there... Could a reaction to coconut oil cause this.?

Seeing you belong to the Hepatitis Ccommunity I will assume it's a rash caused by ribavirin most likely and is very common.
