anti hcv

My friend was anti hcv positive a few years back and also for PCR. He got treatment of interferons and became PCR negative but still anti hcv positive. He is in a safer condition that we all know. Can anti HCV also become negative using some diet or medicines?

Pardon my correction of the above. Nothing, not even HCV treatment medications, can make a person who has been exposed to the virus test negative for HCV antibodies.

No..once the body has been exposed to HCV,whether it has been eradicated or not  one will always test positive for the HCV "antibody"

There is no active infection and therfore no harm being done and not contagious  with positive antibodies present.

Hopefully your friend is enjoying life being HCV free...

Best ...
