birthday wish

I wish for a hepc free birthday.  DOB 12:0something, am , 50something yrs ago today.
Infected maybe 20+  of those yrs. or, maybe it was the colonoscopy 5 yrs ago ( I read it has happened), or maybe the dental school didn't sterilized the drill well.  Maybe it is all wishful thinking, that I was not directly responsible.  There is some pleasure in passing the buck.

Is taking in eggnog a bad boo boo?  I kind of had some beer too.  Figure it didn't  matter since 25 week blood was already taken, That beer tasted so good.

Best to all in the NEw Year

yah baby.....thats why the rodents KEPT running...i figured it out.....so what i wanta know now.....REALLY IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR YOU........TAKE A VERY DEEP BREATH BEFORE YOU ANSWER.....

HOWS THE XMAS TREE STANDIN???..betchya yah TIED it to the walls!

okay darlin, now a wee bit of unconventional hard earned wisdom, from me to you.....while on treatment

1...always make sure,to remember to fill a jug of water each day when you wake
2...try and put notes everywhere, so you remember....that ITS WATER
3...even more important....DRINK THE STUFF,even if you can't for the life of you rememebr WHAT the hell it is and WHY it's there....do "post it notes"
4...invest in CASES of tampons, pads, and several very thick extra TOWELS TOO....trust me!!!!oh yah...and don't forget to change them every 30 FRIKKEN SECONDS!!!!
5...BUY SHARES OF "POST IT NOTES"""
6...when your animals STOP moving entirerly....you may want to see if you have FED them in the last week!!!
7...i really could go on and will add to this list as i remember where my "post it notes" are and see what other wisdom i may impart to you

enjoy!

When they gave me my peg pack 2 weeks before my 1st shot, I practiced once in like a soft tennis ball. She showed me how to check 4 blood(I'm an 18 yr. clean junkey) and I shot the 1st one in the sponge.Every other one has been a peice of cake. Hardly any physical sx.s. Lotta panic attacks, which I've never had b4. And I started my anti-D a month b-4, so I'll probably either up dosage or change. But 5/26 and I'm feelin peachy, so I hope you do too.  Lottsa (((hugs)))      Joni

no I am not mad at you (in case you are wondering)LOL, good 4 you, you did it right!  The office nurse was rude not to call you back!! but sometimes they are "just so busy!!!", bah humbug, blah blah blah, us patients are important too!  Well, anyways, she will probably be secretly happy that you did it without the tutorial, saves her some of her precious time.
And glad you didnt get sides too awful!  my first one's symptoms (sx)came about 6 or 7 hrs later, fever and chills and muscle aches BADly!  But left after a few hrs.  I also had the OZZIE shuffle for several weeks...bumping into walls and losing balance.  Am better now thank God!  BEFUDDLEDBEDARNED - dont wanna forget please give me your info (age, genotype, state, I have the meds - pegasys/copeg aka riba) for my website, THANKS!

hey girl...CONGRATS!!.....now hang on,buckle up, its gonna be fun...and sometimes bumpy....its all good darlin and i certainly will say i too probably would have DONE EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOU , after the long huge build up and wait.....how exactly patient must one be ANYWAY???......you sounded like you had a "kid in a candy store" moment last night though..ha ha ha ...just NOT being able to wait!!!!...i had to laugh....i remember i couldn't WAIT to get started either as i knew that even ONE extra day of waiting would drive me mad and also, extend the treatment by a whole frikken day! well, i sure wasn't going to HAVE THAT! ha ha anyway, let us know how the day progresses for you, i'm sure you'll be fine...and even if you feel a wee bit under the weather....maybe do what i do...i just "imagine" i have the flu, and get to stay in P.J.s.....WHEN EVER i want....although, i DO STRONGLY recommend, changing YOUR SOCKS OFTEN!....(and washing the dogs feet too!)

You know I had something typed here and my puter ate it.
You should be fine. I never had to go to the office to start. I think they just want to make sure you know not to shoot if you see blood in the syringe. Frankly, if you are doing Pegasys, it is like taking an allergy shot. Of course, not afterwards. Little different sx's.
Be sure to drink your water. That is the most important thing. My husband and I both were running into door facings the first night, so beware. The sides can creep up on you.
Good luck and you are on your way to SVR!

I would guess the only reason that they wanted you in the office was to make sure that you know how to do the injection properly. What med are you on If Pegasys than it is already premixed so ther shouldn't be a problem with you starting on your own. I have read here a couple of times that people are told to come into the office for the first shot. I have been on tx twice now and have always done my shot myself never at the doctors office.

As long as you followed the instructions to the tee including how to clean the injsction site you will be fine.

I probably would have been impatient also if I had to wait and didn't hear from my doctor. Good luck, and don't forget your water.     Kim

sorry to hear about your car!  I have seen a bunch of cars with their engines blown lately: my grandpas, my dau bf's, the son-in-laws, my son's gf's got totaled awhile back, and my son's first car is out in the backyard with a blown engine, plus his second one has numerous things in need of $$ fixing.  Everybody needs a new car...wish I could help them, but no can do. Hope your's gets fixed and continues to give you reliable transportation!  And I sure do know whatcha mean, "gotta laugh to keep from cryin!"  Cheers now!  OHC

Thanks for the B-day wishes, OHC, and everyone and Indie, you always kill me.
I am now going to celebrate my B-day a couple of days late. Went to The Lord of the Rings and I must say that was FANTASTIC. Me and my boys went and had a blast. Had to set on the very front row and look up, but all the better. No one in front. Finally got some X-mas cheer going.
Best to all and happy B-day, cuteus. Yours is the same as my sister-in-laws.
Love to all

Happy Birthday. Hope you have many more Hep free.
Drinking on tx is a BIG NO-NO! Some will say it's ok...but it isn't. Just let it go until you're all done and get your after tx tests. We do this stuff for a certain length of time for a reason.....it MAY take that long to kill all the virus. If you drink it just gives the virus a "little hole" to survive in. There are other ways to have fun.
Did you get your AARP letter yet? What about the application to the Phi Beta Cappa Greyhair Society? I got mine BEFORE that birthday and was REALLY depressed. The fire they made when i burned them was nice but the resulting damage when ALL the leaves I had raked ignited wasn't. All the firemen wished me a happy birthday as they took away my lighters.
Hope yours goes better..................

Happy Birthday to you. Sorry your Birthday wasn't so hot this year but just think how great next year will be. Hep c free !!
No riba rage and you can drink without the guilt. I know you have heard it before and it may not seem like it now, but it will get better.    Happy 50 something.  Kim

Thank you.  Sometimes you have to laugh, so as not to cry.  My car's birthday gift: power steering belt snap, reverse clunked out, oil leak...
but it still starts! doesn't go back though.  Ah! add that to peg & riba cocktail, and you got to laugh  ) ;  /  ( ;    ..

Maybe car teaching lesson.  forward only.
