HI Bsmiles,

Welcome to the discussion group, by the way. The urgency to undergo antiviral treatment is usually predicated by the amount of fibrosis, or scarring sustained as a result of the virus. This can be determined by liver biopsy; has your doctor discussed this with you yet?

Tell us more about your diagnosis; were you diagnosed by antibody test, or did you already have the PCR confirmation test yet?

How long do you imagine you’ve been infected?

What’s your personal situation like currently; do you have emotional support? Medical insurance? Are you currently employed?

Lots of questions, but there are a number of things to consider before starting therapy for the virus. Good luck to you; there are lots of folks in here that can help you navigate this disease and it’s treatment—

Bill
