Do you have hepatitis C ?
Give or take a few million here and there...and a heck of a lot of them are variants of the wild virus. Not perfect copies. Mutants.

One billion? Wow. Kinda puts things into perspective on a cellular level.
Burning, irritated eyes have no association with liver disease. Not sure where you heard that, but it is not true.
If a person is chronically infected with hepatitis C the virus is constantly injuring the liver as it replicates one billion times a day. This causes liver inflammation. Inflammation then leads to fibrosis and damage to the liver. If the person is further injuring their liver with alcohol, drugs or anything toxic to the liver the liver damage will progress more quickly.
Nothing but successful treatment of hepatitis C will prevent further injury to the liver.
Cheers!

My extremely chronic eye, sinus, and ear issues completely dissapeared about two weeks after I started treatment, along with other symptoms. I never really found anything that helped with these issues. I would go to the Dr and I would get allergy shots (cortisone) and/or antibiotics for sinus infections, but all was futile. There would be temporary relief though. I never knew I had HCV until this past December, so never associated these symptoms with that. Always thought it was just extreme allergy/sinus problems that got worse as I got older. This said, I have had some dry eyes that began recently, I think it is just from the ribavirin and anemia drying the body out. Eye drops help this.
I did not have eye issues before treatment.....very dry itchy eyes during treatment. I use artificial tears drops...and at night, a gel. I don't know I'd this is a symptom of Hep C or not. Others may weigh in. If it persists, though, I would suggest a visit with an ophthalmologist.
