disease transmission, coinfections and sexual habits

Just a quick ponder... I just got back from the Dr., with the 3rd UTI in 6 weeks.......I have never had this before. He questioned me about sexual positions, frequency, and hygiene... of course I said DOC, look at me, sex is not an option...

but it did get me thinking... I know in HIV, women are more susceptible to disease transmission because the virus is "deposited" with bodily fluids, and contact is longer...

Is there a higher rate of HCV transmission to women than to men?

Does douching help? Positions? I know we are looking at a 2-3% transmission rate, but thats 2 or 3 people out of every hundred...

Inquiring minds want to know...

Holy Cr_p!! A car wash? That's one whopper of a tunnel of love! And if you blow the horn (honk the hooter) does it echo like the Lincoln Tunnel?

Gee, I bet it leaves the upholstery fresh as a bunch of daisies...
