My Hmg went down to 10.2 while on Riba around the 8-9th week.  My Dr explained that sometimes it will level out or possibly go back up.  The next week it jumped to 10.5 and stayed that way till end of treatment.
Your mom may likely do the same thing.  Perhaps give it some time and hopefully it level out.

No, not at this time. One is not considered anemic until their HGB falls below 10 while on treatment. It is very common for ones HGB to drop while taking Ribavirin. If it falls below 10 then either a dose reduction or Procrit should be discussed.

Under the treatment your mother is on it has been more common for reducing the Ribavirin as the first step. Myself I would rather do the Procrit injection instead of reducing but I am set in my ways when it comes to treating. I will say if one is undetected at the time studies have shown a slight reduction in the Riba does not effect the outcome.
