As desrt said, you should ask your doctor. They are the only one who knows about your individual health status. What others use or have been told to use is irrelevant. You need to know what is right for you.

Desrt is right - ask your doctor since it is different for everyone.  I am only allowed to take 4 Tylenol daily - no aspirin or Advil. I can have morphine should I want it, but no aspirin.

This is one of those questions you need to let your doctor decide. It's complicated because an NSAID like ibuprofen might be appropriate for one patient while acetaminophen might be better for another, depending on things like your risk of internal bleeding, the ability of your liver and kidneys to process different meds, and your needs in regard pain reduction.

No problem with Ibuprofen according to Dr. Gregory Everson head of the Liver Transplant and Hepatology Department at the Anschults Meddical Facility in Denver.  Just don't take more than what it says on the bottle.  Ibuprofen is mainly processed in the kidneys.

I took (acetaminophen)  500 mg of tylenol  if I had a fever or was achy during tx. (I waited about 4 hrs between doses)

Are you currently treating for HCV?

i guess that's a question. the reason why i say that is cuz it's a good idea to give as much info as you can so members can respond and give you better answers.

i was told not to take ibuprofen. i take tylenol when i feel lousy. not to exceed 3,000 mg / day.

i try to limit it to 2, 600mg a day.

17 weeks into tx. currently und.
