feeling pretty good

hello to all and best wishes on tx..today is 44/72...keep on going:)...just to let you know that I am feeling pretty good as of late , the sides are still here but are becoming part of the normal. my thyroid is coming down 7.43 tsh and I can tell a huge difference vs. the highest tsh at 74...wow..increased the synthroid to 125 mcg..wait and see...I feel as if my body is getting used to the meds or clearing the virus..hard to distinguish. My hair is so thin but still there and my nails are growing again!..I wish all a good day and prayers always :) shelly

This is great (and was fun and funny reading) -- from your good news about feeling better, to your improved thyroid, (I bet you DO feel better cuz hypo is bound to feel awful)  to talking about hair, to talking about the "chit chit" -lol - on then on to puppies and husky discussion (all great medicine :)  Glad you're feeling much better.  You're doing the 72 weeks?  Wow - you keep hanging in there!

pdilly, my pup is no longer a pup..can you beleive he is 7 months old now? got him when he was 8 weeks..time flys.. he is a big ole lap dog 60 lbs big and the most
social, friendly, nonagressive BABY ! for those who don't know he is a siberian husky I have 2 now the other is 9 and I rescued her, I get many compliments on his temperament..I laugh everyday at his antics he reminds me of Snoopy from peanuts..nick named him snooop snoop...let me tell you if it wasn't for him during tx I would have lost it..he is high energy and never lets me lay around and mope..him and the maine coon cat are best of friends.
as to the thinning hair I watched a special on how long it takes to grow hair back not including when on tx of course and they say typically women over 40 tend to have thinning hair and it grows slower. I say I might get my hair back year 2009 lol, I am thankful it was very thick when started! I cut it shorter and use lots of gel..its only hair and will come back lets hope;) I had the joy of catholic school, kicked out of public school system lol;) I also add and take meds for it, always in trouble..have to enjoy life while you have it, week 44/72 and feeling great..to early txers sides do get better or you learn how to address them and it becomes part of the norm. keep txing its worth the effort..best wishes to all :)shelly

You Betcha! I still can't see how we can separate our lives this way. Of course I know that there are times things are purely chatting, but most of the time my posts involve research, life experiences and chit chat. Perhaps I am strange...but I am not sure how to separate one topic onto two boards, besides the energy and time it takes, as well as the whole point being lost as to what the topic is about.

I started September 10, 2006.  It just happened that I "chickened out" that Friday and Saturday and MADE myself start on that Sunday.  So - shot 21 this Sunday - almost halfway done!

RE: "trouble"
Oh yeah - all my life - I'm the one who gets in trouble.  EVERY time.  I never have any Idea why or what I did (and sometimes nobody else does either!!!).  I quit being suprised by it long ago.
It's just something "special" about me I guess.

HI! I have an appt. with Hosseini next week. Is this your dr? My hair at week 41 is so thin, I look like that blond guy on Beetle Juice. Frizzy, bald etc. I am ready for a wig. We ought to meet downtown WC where I found a cute little wig shop!

LOL. Leave it to you to make the comparison. I forgot all about that guy. I didn't realize your hair was thinning. When did it get really noticeable? I can tell mine is getting thinner, but I THINK others can't tell the difference yet.
Are you going to do the higher dose of riba? I think I'll write you tonight with some questions.

Sorry I got tickled by sfbaygirl comparing herself to Beetle Juice.
Great news that you are feeling pretty good. It's all relative, feeling pretty good on week 44 is not what most people would consider "feeling pretty good"!
But hey, "it is what it is" (Paula Abdul, not MY idol)

Let's see if I can stay out of "trouble" this time.  ;-0

Glad to hear that your tsh is getting better - that can really s*ck  when it's bad either way...

Glad to hear your sides feel less terrible to you - makes me think I will "get there" too.

hmm.   your nails are growing now ?  I cut mine when I started (20 weeks ago) and have not had to since.  Wish I hadn't cut em so short!

So - 72 weeks?  OUCH!  I hope everything gets easier for you as you go along.

All my best to you and your family

PS.
Ahhh the hair thing - unfortunately mine IS noticibly thin - well actually I could probably count the individual hairs  (but I won't).  I've got a wig from EBAY comming - nygrl told me about them....

I read tsh as tush! I think the mind is really going. I didn't realize you were on week 20! What day did you start. My nails are thin and brittle, like my hair! I keep them clipped short.
BTW this is all hep c related, right? Why were you singled out? All my life as the little ADHD student in Catholic school, I was the only girl who got in trouble, and more than most of the boys in class. Talk about feeling picked on.

I also am ADD and compulsive! Thank goodness I never went to a Catholic school. Those rulers over my hands would have popped some of my veins and bruised my hands forever! What happened? Did somebody get kicked out for talking non Hep C? I read Rev say some posts were deleted. Let me know Bug. Geez, this is what I was afraid of. All of us are connected and Hep c covers every single part of our lives. I am having a tough time making it to the other board, b/c of so many posts and family stuff and sx. How can we separate our tx from our lives? I ought to have John post as to how it effects everything. Lately, it seems I can only read a few threads and post to them. I don't even read everything.. wish I could. Apparently, I am a ranter and know it all...Oh well. Just trying to share my experiences.

My hair is so thin it is not funny. It went slowly over time. big bunches on the shelves of the shower. Luckily no roater rooter needed, cuz, I put them on the shelves. LOL. I can't even put a band around my hair anymore. I hate to go have it cut, I think they will cut it really short. John doesn't want that. If I shower, use lots of conditioner and fluff it without combing, my curly hair does sorta look okay...albeit the friz at the ends and the bald spots I can't see, but of course the 11 y/o tells me about it all the time!

It wasn't anything really bad.  When they deleted all those threads Igot an email saying to post over at the community forum as THIS forum is for research (uh- I forgot already what all this forum is for...).  Strange thing is - I HAVE NEVER STARTED A THREAD on this forum, I've only responded to peoples posts.  Go figure...

I had problems getting in as well. I thought maybe they were running maintenance or something.  The weeks will roll right by.  Hang in there

Shelly,  So glad you are feeling pretty good.  It is funny how our bodies get kind of used to the drugs.  Hey how is that husky puppy (at least I think it was you)?
