genotype 4

Anyone have the type I have that's taken the newest supposed cures? Sofosbuvir, Semprivir, my doc wants me to go on. BTW, I don't have insurance so I can't afford the meds and therefore have not started treatment. I am tx naive, no signs of liver damage and a low viral load.

Hi if you have no damage there is no rush as HCV is  slow moving.  Saying that, as Sandi said, you can get help from Gilead to pay for the medication; so you have time to work on that.  I was able to get help to pay for Incivek, once they were helping me they also helped me with the Peg and the Riba.
Good luck
Dee

I was your same genotype. I did the triple Tx: Sovaldi/Ribavirin/Interferon. I was also Tx naive, with a low viral count. Gilead has patient assistance, so you can get that med for free. I was successful, and am now considered cured. Contact Gilead for their Patient Assistance Program. Good luck.
