hep c comes back!!

What is ming toy talking about hep c comes back' Is this true! I sure hope not, and it causes lupus I have never heard this omg

Don't panic.  Hep C does not cause lupus.  Treatment with interferon can trigger autoimmune diseases (lupus is an autoimmune disease) however this seldom happens.  

There are people who treat for hep C and either never clear the virus, or else suffer relapse after stopping treatment.  However, many people treat successfully and get a sustained viral response (SVR).  These people are cured.

No it does not come back.  And no, pretty much none of the things on Mingtoy's list were true.  The possible side effects are on the pamphlet that comes with the peg.  The worst one I saw was a possiblity of thyroid damage.  In fact Mingtoy mentioned MS as a side effect and interferon is actually a treatment for MS.  Ignore the nuttier posts.  If it sounds crazy, it probably is.
