I am sorry that you are having all of the pain. I really don't want to try to venture a cause for the pain. I hope the testing will help find the cause and I hope you get some relief for it.
As far as the liver scarring is concerned, if I recall correctly, you have Cirrhosis, which is Liver Fibrosis Stage 4. When you treated in 2011, you had and were being treated for Hepatic Encephalopathy and you also had low platelets. You would not have had Hepatic Encephalopathy if you did not have Cirrhosis.
Wishing you the very best for the future.
Well after having this for at least 35 years, I really cant expect to feel any better and yes I will hang in there as long as I can. thanks to all of you.
Yes I have been told I have scaring but never knew there was a level I can ask for. How does the level work by numbers or letters? Thanks for the info.
Hey Salvo! Sorry to hear your not feeling well but I just wanted to drop in and say hello. Good to see you and hang in there

I'd say it is chronic muscle pain. Something happens to the muscles around the liver. I'm getting treated for it. The liver swells and pushes on the muscles making them too loose or too contracted. It's painful. Also the ribs may be out of line and digging into you from the liver inflammation/swelling that pushes them out of alignment. That takes a chiropractor to fix it.
A CT, or CAT scans, are special X-ray tests that produce cross-sectional images of the body using X-rays and a computer. CT scans are also referred to as computerized axial tomography.
An abdominal ultrasound uses reflected sound waves to produce a picture of the organs and other structures in the upper abdomen. Sometimes a specialized ultrasound is ordered for a detailed evaluation of a specific organ, such as a kidney ultrasound.
An abdominal ultrasound uses a probe the slide accross your abdomin with a special gel like what is done with pregnant women same equipment dofferent purpose.
Have you previously been diagnosed with cirrhosis? Do you know your level of fibrosis? (liver scaring)
Yes it was cured last year around Aug 2013 after trying 5 or 6 times but new medicine did the trick. Now just wondering what going to happen because I've had cat scan and last test was an ultrasound but have the scan scheduled for Aug. again but I'm getting checked next month through the VA because I keep telling them I have pain so they will give me a cat scan also. Dont know if both tests are the same but I'll take it. Thanks
Hi
If your had liver cancer and it had advanced to the point you have pain it would have be very advanced. The tests for HCC would pick it up long before you would feel anything. Just keep doing your 6 month checks for HCC I do an abdomibal ultra sound and AFT blood test I also do an annual upper endoscopy as I previously had developed esophageal varicies.
Have you treated hep c successfully and are now cured?
Good luck
