Ive had HCV for 20 years or so and have always had a head of hair.   Actually too much hair.  Thick & Curly.    My friend in texas has a hair thinning problem, and she went to a specialist and they told her it was lack of protein to her body.    But then again they checked her thyroid and other factors as well.
I do know you can get thinning hair or hair loss during HCV treatment due to Peg and I am not sure about INC & Riba.

never had that symptom with hep c, but definitely with the treatment.  I have never had such thin, straight hair I kinda like it for a change... the thick wavy stuff was a lot of work.
just glad I have some hair

It was one of the 1st symptoms I had...I am female (53) and I thought I had a thyroid condition....the problem is that hair loss is indicative of so many things in 50 something women:-)  Hair loss alone could be from many things~

Take care

I was diagnosed with Hep C at 26, while I don't know exactly when I picked it up, could be 10+ years. I also did started losing hair (MPB) very young like 18... hair loss does run in men in my family but I feel like I started losing too young. Could Hep C have caused it? Could Hep C sped up the process? Maybe, I might never find out...
