Hepatitis C transmission

I am a 28 year old living in Pakistan where hepc is quite common . Recently i had a haircut  and my barber  used his own electric razor and  scissors  which were not sterilised  .I also had an oil head massage done afterwards . I didnt get any cuts or nicks  . Although, after the haircut  when i got home i  developed a small rash at the back of my neck  and  a small fluid filled lesion . I am not sure it was due to  a bug bite or due to my haircut . i am worried if i can contract hepc this way or not . what if the electric razor or scissors had  hep c infected dried blood on it  and  got inside my body because of the rash and lesion . i am worried sick . should i get tested ??

We here are not medical professionals.  For a medical opinion please speak to your personal physician.

I was not there I do not know if there was a risk that hepatitis C infected blood could’ve entered your bloodstream. Only you know if there is a possibility that hepatitis C could’ve entered your blood through an open wet fresh weeping injury.

If you think of this was a possibility and are concerned wait six months and have the hepatitis C antibody test.

If you have the test you will know.

Hep c infected blood has to enter the blood stream of an uninfected person.

If the equipment was sterilized and you were not cut by the equipment there was no risk.

If there was a risk this occurred then you should wait 6 months and be tested to know for sure.
