milk thistle and trtmnt

I have been taking Milk Thistle and my dr. said I could keep taking on trtmt as long as I had already been taking it.  Thought I read that this is not advised?

think there was a thread here 2 weeks ago about this and im sure most people say not to take mt while on tx cause there has been no studies to say if its good or  bad while on tx..my doc told me to stop taking it while on tx im sure somebody else will jump in with more info for you about this

Thanks, I actually had 2 dr's tell me ok while treating.  May stop taking mt just incase.

Herbs such as milk thistle are a form of medicine and not likely tested for interaction with Vic or Incivick, Riba or Interferon.  Additionally, it may actually prevent the treatment from being effective.  Bottom line is follow the tested and validated guidelines and drop the milk thistle.
