not really a question

I'm now undetected on my HCV_RNA test, after registering 17M in December !!!YAY..I believe I'm cured. Genotype 1, fibrosis grade 1 . Have been on Harvoni for 2 months now, but I will continue it for 1 more month.  For all you fellow hepers out there, this miracle drug really works and fast.  Have faith in it, I sure hope more folks will be able to afford it one way or another. This forum has been great, sure glad I found it; soooo much help here. I will continue to post results of my recovery.  I feel like I've been given many more healthful days in my life. After all, I'm only 64 y.o.

It is wonderful that you have become Undetectable after taking 2 months of Harvoni treatment. I see that you have another month of Harvoni to go until you reach end of treatment..

Be sure to follow up with the HCV RNA testing at 12 weeks post end of treatment and again at 24 weeks post end of treatment to be sure that you remain free of the virus. (12 weeks post end of treatment is now being used as the time frame to be considered SVR but there is still a slight chance of relapse, so getting tested again at 24 weeks post end of treatment is more definitive.)

If you remain free of the virus after end of treatment, then you will be considered to have attained SVR (cure).

Right on! It's funny how we seem to intuitively know  when the virus is gone. I'm with you on finding help for those who haven't been able to treat. Take care.
