Without knowing how low you can't know if it is a problem or not! Find out first. It is very common for white and red blood cell counts to drop while on treatment. It shouldn't be ignored but it might not be a big deal.
Can you get your GI to give you a photocopy of your test results? Does your GI send copies of results to your GP? Maybe you can get them that way.
My platelets are usually low. 'they now seem to be climbing a bit due to eating habits. My lab always sends me a copy so I have copies of all my labs for my own personal comparison.. You just have to ask and sign a release. That way you can see what the normal ranges of all your tests are. If lab does'nt your Dr. should, after all you paid for them.
Mine are low too. They were low to start with and then went down by about 1/2 after I started tx. I think that's pretty standard for them to drop. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It sounds like your doctor is keeping an eye on them and if he's not wanting to do anything about them at this point in time they are most likely acceptable. I agree with the others, you should get your results in printed form so you can take your time and check it out for yourself. I think it would make you feel better about the situtation.
Good Luck to you.
